Dry Chili Chicken

This recipe is prepared with capsicum, chilies, onions, soy sauce, ginger, garlic etc. This Indo-Chinese recipe goes very well with any types of noodles, rice recipes or with simple parathas. I personally like to savor the same with fried rice. There are two varieties of Chili Chicken, one is the dry version and the other one is gravy version. Here I am sharing the dry version of my Dry Chili Chicken Recipe.

Time for Preparation : 30 minutes
Time for Cooking : 20 minutes
Serves 2 People

Ingredients for Dry Chili Chicken

500 grams Chicken
2 Big Onions (cubed)
1 Capsicum (cubed)
1 Egg
10 Green Chilies (Sliced)
½ tsp Ginger (chopped)
½ tsp Garlic (chopped)
4 tbsp Soy Sauce
1tbsp Corn Flour
1tbsp Maida (all-purpose flour)
Pinch of Sugar
Salt to taste

How to make Dry Chili Chicken

Wash and cut the chicken into medium size pieces.

Now add the corn flour, all-purpose flour, egg, 2 tbsp soy sauce, sugar and salt.

Now mix everything together and marinate and keep it aside for 15 to 20 minutes (the longer you keep, the better it is).

Heat oil is a pan or a wok.

Now fry the marinated chicken pieces little by little into the hot oil until it turns into golden brown in color.

Once the chicken is fried properly, remove from the oil and keep it aside.

Now in the same wok add little oil or use the same chicken fried oil add the onions, ginger, garlic, capsicum and green chilies and stir for few minutes.

Now add the fried chicken to the wok and stir fry everything together.

Add the remaining 2 tbsp soy sauce and salt if required and stir fry for few minutes.

Delicious and mouth watering Dry Chili Chicken is now ready.
