Gravy Chili Chicken

This Indo-Chinese recipe is a very delicious and spicy preparation of chicken. The same can be savored with any kind of rice recipe, noodles or even parathas. If you require more gravy to your chili chicken then you can increase the quantity of the corn flour, vinegar, soy sauce while making the mixture and add more water. It is very simple to prepare and an ideal recipe for any type of gatherings at home. Here I am sharing my recipe of Gravy Chili Chicken.

Time for Cooking : 20 minutes
Serves 2 People

Ingredients for Gravy Chili Chicken

500 grams Chicken
1 Capsicum (cubed)
2 Big Onions (cubed)
10 Green Chilies (Sliced)
1 Egg
½ tsp Ginger (chopped)
½ tsp Garlic (chopped)
6 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 tbsp white vinegar
4 tbsp Corn Flour
1 tbsp Maida (all-purpose flour)
Pinch of Sugar
Salt to taste

How to make Gravy Chili Chicken

Wash the chicken and cut them into medium size pieces.

Add the egg, 2 tbsp corn flour, all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp soy sauce, sugar and salt.

Mix and marinate everything together and keep it aside for near about 20 minutes (the longer you keep, the better it is).

Now take a small bowl and add the 2 tbsp corn flour, 4 soy sauce, white vinegar and little water and mix together and keep it aside.

Heat oil is a pan or a wok.

Now take the marinated chicken pieces and fry them little by little into the hot oil until it turns into golden brown in color.

After the chicken is well fried, take it out from the oil and keep it aside on a separate bowl. 

When all the chicken pieces are fried add some more oil to the wok and add the onions, ginger, garlic, capsicum and green chilies and stir for few minutes.

Add the fried chicken pieces to the wok and stir it all together for few minutes.

Now add the corn flour and soy sauce mixture that was prepared earlier and salt into the wok.

Stir and cook for few minutes. If required add some more water.

Delicious and mouth watering Gravy Chili Chicken is now ready.
