Chicken Jhal Fry


In this recipe the chicken is cooked with many spices and taste awesome. It is a very yummy recipe that can be savored with plain rice or roti. Very simple to make and it gives a boost to the taste bud of all those people who loves to relish spicy food. Here I am sharing my mouth watering recipe of Chicken Jhal Fry.





Time for Preparation : 10 minutes
Time for Cooking : 30 minutes
Serves 4 People

Ingredients for Chicken Jhal Fry

1 kg Chicken (cut into small pieces)
2 big Onions
2 big Tomatoes
4 tbsp Coriander seeds
2 Bay Leaves
4 Dry Red Chilies
1 tsp Garam masala powder
1 tsp Red Chili powder
1 inch Ginger 
5 cloves of Garlic
Salt to taste
½ cup Mustard Oil
½ cup Water (luke warm)

How to make Chicken Jhal Fry

Cut the onions and tomatoes into cubes and chop the ginger and garlic, keep it aside.



Take the coriander seeds and roast it.



Once it is roasted remove it from the hot surface.



Grind the roasted coriander seeds into powder and keep it aside.



Heat oil in a wok.



Add the chopped onions and bay leaves into the hot oil and sauté.



Add the dried red chilies now.



Now add the chicken into the wok.



Saute everything together.



Stir fry the chicken for near about 10 minutes.



Now add the tomatoes.



Add the roasted coriander powder.



Now add the garam masala powder.



Add the red chili powder.



Now add the salt.



Saute everything together for few minutes.



Now add the luke warm water and mix everything.



Cover and cook till the water dries up.



Once the water dries up stir and cook for few more minutes.



Delicious Chicken Jhal Fry is now ready to serve.
