Baingan Bharta

Baingan is the hindi word of Brinjal which is also well known as Eggplant. I like eating dishes prepared with Brinjal. My this Bharta recipe is prepared with burnt Baingan. Burning the brinjal in a charcoal makes this recipe tastier. It is very simple to prepare and hardly requires any kind of spices or any special skills, yet it is so tasty. Here I am sharing my recipe of Baingan Bharta.

Time for Cooking : 7 minutes
Serves 2 People

Ingredients for Baingan Bharta

1 big Brinjal or Baingan
1 Onion
2 Green Chilies
Salt to taste
1 Tbsp Mustard Oil

How to make Baingan Bharta

Take the brinjal and wash it properly.



Cut the tip of the brinjal and half slit the brinjal from the middle lengthwise as shown in the photo. Apply mustard oil to the brinjal.



Take the green chilies and onions, chop them and keep them aside.



Now burnt the brinjal in a burnt charcoal.



Peel the burnt brinjal skin off.



Now add the chopped onions and green chilies into the peeled brinjal.



Add the mustard oil.



Add salt as required and mix everything together properly. .



Yummy Baingan Bharta is now ready. Garnish it with green chilies and serve.
