Gravy Chili Egg

The recipe of Gravy Chili Egg has turned out to be a super dish at dinner time.

Egg recipes are always a delight for me as I find them quite easy to prepare. I always think of preparing something new every day so that my family never gets bored with food. I have always thought of preparing this recipe but never tried it out. Few days back I told my mom that I want to prepare the same and she was very happy when I told her the recipe. So she encouraged me to try this dish out and it turned out to be a super dish for my family. I wanted to share my happiness with you all so I have shared my delightful recipe of Gravy Chili Egg here under.

Serves 6 People  


Ingredients required for cooking Gravy Chili Egg

6 Eggs
1 Capsicum
4 Onions
2 tsp Corn Flour
2 tsp Soy sauce
½ tsp Sugar
1 inch Ginger
6 cloves Garlic
6 Green Chilies
3 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
Salt to taste
3 Tbsp Oil
½ cup of Water

First we need to hard boil the eggs, peel the eggs now and keep it aside.

Cut the capsicum like rings, this will make the recipe look amazing after cooking. You can also cut it according to your wish.

Take the 1 inch ginger and 6 cloves garlic and chop them together and keep it aside.

Now take the onions, peel them and cut them into big cube shape.

Take the sugar and keep it ready separately.

Now take the hard boiled eggs, add the corn flour, soy sauce and the sugar.

Mix and marinate the eggs properly. If you just take the bowl and shake it carefully, everything will get completely mixed up and the egg will be well coated with the sugar, soy sauce and corn flour.

Heat the oil in a kadhai or a deep bottom wok.

Now fry the marinated eggs little by little in the oil on a low flame. While frying the eggs the oil will crackle and you might get burnt so be careful and fry the eggs on a low flame till the eggs turn brown in color.

Once the eggs are fried take it out from the oil and keep them separately in a bowl.

Now add the onions into the kadhai and sauté them just for a minute.

Add the chopped ginger and garlic to the kadhai and sauté them along with the onions till a tasty aroma of the same comes.

Add the capsicum now and sauté for a couple of minutes.

Now add the green chilies. I have put the whole green chilies, if you want to cut or slit the green chilies and put then you can do so.

Add the tomato ketchup now and stir till the ketchup mixes with the oil.

Now add the half cup water and salt as per your taste and let it simmer for a while.

Add the fried eggs now to the gravy and sauté till the water dries up and becomes into thick gravy.

Yummy Gravy Chili Egg is now ready to relish.
