Aloo Gobi Matar Recipe

Aloo Gobi Matar recipe is a simple vegetarian preparation


This vegetarian curry is a very simple and easy to prepare recipe with very few ingredients and yet it is very delectable.  I often prepare this recipe with fresh green peas and fresh cauliflower and serve it with rice, roti and sometimes with puris too. The wonderful combination of green peas, cauliflower and potato does not need to many spices as these have their own taste and it gives boost to our taste buds with very few and simple spices. Ingredients

Ingredients  required for making Aloo Gobi Matar Recipe

1 big Cauliflower (Gobi)
4 big Potatoes
Half cup Green Peas
2 Tomatoes
2 Onions
1 tsp Red Chili Powder
1 tsp Turmeric powder
Salt to taste
4 tbsp Mustard Oil
1 bunch Coriander leaves (chopped)
1 cup luke warm Water

Let us start preparing this yummy recipe, first we will cut the cauliflower into small florets, keep it aside.


Peel the potatoes and cut them into four pieces each and keep it aside.



Keep the green peas ready.



Slice the onions and keep it ready.



Now we will start cooking, take the kadhai and heat the mustard oil in it.



When the mustard oil is hot add the sliced onions.



Saute the onion till it changes it colour.



Now add the potatoes to the sauted onion, becareful  while doing this as there might be water in the potatoes and it might burn your hands.



Stir the potatoes with the onion for 5 minutes.



Now add the spicy red chili powder, As you see in the ingredients I have added 1tsp of red chili powder, you can add it according to your taste.



After the red chili powder add the turmeric powder.



Now add the salt as much as your taste.



Saute everything together till the turmeric powder, red chili powder and salt mixes well with the potatoes and onions.



Add the cauliflower florets.



Now stir everything together and make sure that the cauliflower florets are well coated in the oil with the spices.



Add the chopped tomatoes to the kadhai now and stir.



It is now time to add the green peas to the recipe.



Stir everything well and cook for few minutes.



Now add the luke warm water and close the lid and let it get cooked. If you need more water then you can add and cook till the water dries up.



Once the water dries up, stir the curry.



Scrumptious Aloo Gobi Matar Recipe is now ready, garnish it with fresh coriander leaves and savour.
